Bob McKee's Personal Background and Credits

Bob has been a professional drummer for over fifty years. His career has included success as a television, recording and live-performance artist.

TELEVISION - Bob has worked on over 2000 local and national television shows on every major network. For five years he led the orchestra on the Mike Douglas Show, where he accompanied such performers as Barbara Streisand, Sammy Davis, Tony Bennett, Jack Jones, Louis Armstrong, Erroll Garner and hundreds of very talented performers. He also led his own band as Musical Director at NBC Channel 3 in Cleveland, Ohio.

RECORDINGS - Bob has played with many artists on over 3,000 albums for numerous record companies. He's also been featured on hundreds of radio and television advertisments.

LIVE-PERFORMANCE - Six nights a week, for 13 years, Bob worked with his own band as the house band at downtown Cleveland's legendary Theatrical Restaurant. In this role, he's played opposite such greats as Gene Krupa, Johan Jones, Doc Severinson, Urbie Green, Sy Oliver, Dizzy Gillespie, Roy Eldridge, Roy Burns, Ed Shauahnessy, Jo Jones, Don Lamond, Bobby Rosengaren, Jake Hanna, and Cozy Cole.
